It’s Administrative Assistant Week, and we would like to express our appreciation for ours. Cynthia Norris and Crystal Poole are the friendly faces in the office that greet our visitors, and they are the unsung champions of organization for our school. They complete so many tasks that often happen quietly behind the scenes, but the impact of their work is immense. We are enormously grateful for their work and dedication!

Our students in the visual and performance arts courses would like to invite you to Cinco de Mayo night. Please come and help celebrate the talents that will be on display this evening.

Don't forget to purchase your copy of the Blazer Yearbook before the end of the school year deadline. Preordering is the only way to ensure that you will be able to purchase a copy. Don't miss out!

🌮🚚 Taco ‘bout a fun project! 🚚🌮
Coach Betts's students just wrapped up a deliciously educational unit on percents by designing their very own Taco Truck businesses! 🌯💰 They created creative menus, took orders from friends, and calculated tips, taxes, discounts, markups, and markdowns—because even in the taco biz, math always adds up! 🔢🌶️
VVJH teachers cast their “spicy” votes 🔥, and the most creative businesses from each class were crowned Top Tacos! 🌮🏆 These winning entrepreneurs were rewarded with a goody bag yesterday—no tax or tip required! 😉
🌟 Congrats to our future business moguls! 🌟 Keep crunching numbers (and maybe some tacos, too)! 🌮🎉 #TacoBoutMath #FutureCEOs #VVJHTacoTrucks

Grade reports will be available this Friday, March 21st.

🎉 Congratulations to our Blazer Buggy Winners! 🎉
Each week, students are nominated by their teachers for demonstrating excellence in a variety of areas—whether it’s showing kindness, going above and beyond in their work, or displaying great leadership. We are so proud of you all! 🌟
This program is sponsored by PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), and we’re excited to continue recognizing our students’ hard work and dedication. Keep up the amazing work, Blazers! 💪 #BlazerPride #PBIS #BlazerBuggyWinners

March 14th (3.14) is Pi Day, and several junior high Blazers were happy to be in math class today. Pi, the special proportional relationship between the circumference and diameter of circles, is celebrated by snacking on all things round and tasty!

The students in Ms. Mathis’s English classes created Body Bio projects this week to expand on their understanding of the novel they just completed: Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys. The novel is young adult fiction set during WWII that, in part, tells the story of the single greatest tragedy in maritime history. Body biographies are designed to help students take a closer look at character analysis and think critically about a character's motivations, beliefs, and role in a story.

“🎶🎤 Profe Fairley’s Spanish 1 students had an unforgettable time at the Edgar Rene concert! He brought the energy, culture, and positivity straight from Puerto Rico, and the kids sang their hearts out. Such a fun way to learn about music and heritage! 🇵🇷🎶 #EdgarRene #SpanishClass #CulturalConnections”

📢 Lost & Found Reminder! 📢
Our Lost & Found is overflowing! Please have your student check for any missing items before Spring Break. All unclaimed items will be donated.

The snow has melted and we have started to see a few glimpses of spring weather. In Mr. Sanders’s Survey of Agri classes, this means that it’s time to do some planting. Throughout this past week, these students have been busy planting seeds for the spring plant sale and the Blazer community garden.

Today we celebrated the Junior High Homecoming Court with the student body. They were originally presented last Friday night before the Senior High basketball games. We were happy to get to celebrate them with our student body today!

The Who’s Who winners to be included in this year’s Blazer Yearbook were announced today. Congratulations to these freshmen students for being selected.
