The Valley View School District has continued to monitor the latest local event plans, district staffing data, and updates from local and state officials regarding the Total Solar Eclipse that will occur in our area on April 8, 2024. Based on our review of all current data, Valley View School District campuses will be closed for in-person instruction on Monday, April 8. This date will be an Alternate Methods of Instruction (AMI) day to ensure the safety of all students and staff with the projected impacts on traffic before and during dismissal time and due to the impact closures of other facilities have had on district staff available to report to work. Next week each student will be provided ISO-certified glasses to bring home to experience the eclipse off campus. Instructional activities and resources will be posted on our district website to supplement other eclipse activities Blazer families may have planned for this date. The district appreciates your understanding of this decision as area plans have continued to evolve in preparation for the event.

From Blazer grads to Blazer teachers, we are thankful to have our hometown educators like Mrs. Dana Bruff! Dana is a 2017 graduate of Valley View High School. She has been teaching for three years and is currently the 7-12 grade theater, photography, and AP art teacher.  Dana’s favorite memories of being a student at Valley View are performing in plays with her lifelong friends, traveling to New York with choir and the International Thespian Festival with the Thespian Troupe, and making art in the art room. 🌟🏆 Multiplication March Madness 🏆🌟 Our Valley View Intermediate students went head-to-head in a frenzy of multiplication challenges, showcasing their math skills!Students became more confident in their multiplication fluency, learned life lessons of winning and losing, along with the importance of teamwork and good sportsmanship! 💫🔢 #BlazerPride
