In years past, students in grades 3-10 have taken the ACT Aspire as the state grade level summative assessment each year. This year, students in grades 3-10 will be taking the ATLAS 3-10 General Summative assessments. This test is still given online, and assesses students in Reading/English Language Arts, Writing, Mathematics, and Science. Students in grades 3-10 will be taking the ATLAS 3-10 General Summative Writing assessment during the weeks of March 4-11. The writing assessment is earlier this year to ensure time for scoring with the new assessment. Please make sure to have your child present and on-time for their testing session. Students will have to make up the assessment if missed. Students are allowed to bring a snack to eat during break. Please direct any questions to your child’s counselor. From Blazer grads to Blazer teachers, we are thankful to have our hometown educators like Ms. Debra Mangrum! Debra is a 1973 graduate of Valley View High School. She has been teaching for 33 years. She taught 6th grade Math for 20 years and Computer Lab for 13 years. Debra's favorite memories of being a student at Valley View are being a cheerleader for the boys basketball team, dancing at the Blazer Ball and Prom, being Homecoming Queen, and hanging out with friends. #TeamBlazer #Blazergrads
